Ka band

Ka-band is the next generation of satellite technology. It delivers high intensity spot beams, enabling faster speeds and more cost-effective end-user solutions. As Ku-band supplemented C-band in the ‘90s, Ka-band is the logical successor of Ku-band in the future and will evolve into the delivery mechanism of choice for emerging markets and high demand regions throughout the world.
• Higher capacity because of frequency re-use
• Higher bandwidths and speeds – “more bits per hertz” – because of higher EIRP• Smaller end-user antennas, enabling mobility and rapid deployment
• More cost-effective terminal equipment
• More efficient support of high bandwidth applications for demanding military, resources and government environments
• Less congested than Ku- and C-band
